Physical Therapy Delivered on Your Terms
Physical Therapy Delivered on Your Terms
With Slack Tide PT, you will be treated by a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) your entire visit and treatment duration.
On your initial visit, your DPT will perform a thorough evaluation lasting 60-90 minutes. This extensive examination will determine the source of your pain and dysfunction, allowing the root cause to be treated. Each follow-up visit will be approximately one hour of undivided one on one treatment and care.
We are not contracted by insurance companies, which means they can not control and limit your physical therapy treatments. If you have new complaints throughout your treatments, they will be addressed and treated on the spot. You do not have to worry about getting a physician referral or authorization through your insurance company.
Most of your treatment will emphasize manual therapy treatments if appropriate. We will focus on improving your joint mobility and tissue extensibility dysfunctions through various manual techniques. These may include, but are not limited to Trigger Point Release, Joint Mobilization and Manipulation, Cupping, Myofascial Release, Massage, Muscle Energy Techniques, Manual Traction, etc.
Functional exercises will be taught as needed to help facilitate and restore new movement patterns. Limitations in range of motion, strength, and balance will be improved with exercise as appropriate.
